Board & Governance
Chair, Vice-Chair, Trustee and Director across five sectors.
“Effective governance requires not only sound oversight, but the willingness to ask difficult questions, examine assumptions, and keep strategic decisions aligned with an organization’s mission and long-term objectives.”
Satya Brata Das
Oversight
Accountability, fiduciary care and a willingness to test assumptions. He has chaired a compensation committee and sat on audit and governance committees at an SEC-reporting company, and now advises a federal department on internal audit and financial-reporting integrity.
Foresight
Most of his career has been spent reading geopolitical and geoeconomic change before it became consensus. On a board that becomes scenario planning: naming the plausible futures, and asking whether strategy survives each of them.
Sustainability
He treats sustainability as a question of governance, risk and long-term value rather than of branding. Through IEEE P3469 and Green Powerhouse he works on the plumbing: carbon accounting, environmental liabilities and the finance of the transition.
